How much rewards?

You are getting interest at ~12% APR currently after commissions. They are given every block (around 6.3s) and have to be manually claimed.

How often can I get my rewards?

You can withdraw your rewards as often as you like. You may also restake your rewards again to compound your stake. This can be done easily in the Defi Wallet App. In the Desktop Wallet, you will have to claim your rewards first before delegating again.

How do i claim my rewards?

If you are using Desktop Wallet, you can click Withdraw Rewards in Staking tab.

In the Defi Wallet, you will have just have to click Claim Rewards.

What happens if you mess up?

If the validator is jailed due to downtime (currently the validator has to be up at least 50% of the time for 5000 blocks), then everyone will receive no rewards for the duration of the jail. The validator may be manually unjailed by the validator after 24 hours. 

If double signing occurs, which is very rare and likely only due to hacking or misconfigured standby nodes, then the validator is jailed forever and everybody loses 5% of their stake. That is why 100k CRO is self-delegated to show how serious we take it. Please do your own research before delegating to any validator!!

Any fees to stake?

Just the commission and network fee. Network fees are usually a small fraction of a CRO, currently about 0.0005 CRO. Remember to leave some CRO for gas! If you do run out of gas, please make contact and some will be sent to you! Our commission rates are displayed in the Roadmap tab.

How do I unstake?

Sorry to see you go, but please take note that if you unstake, you will have to wait 28 days before your CRO will be available to you. In these 28 days, you cannot do anything with your CRO and you will receive no rewards. You may opt to redelegate instead.

If you are using Desktop Wallet, unstaking is just a few clicks in Home > Delegations tab.

How do I redelegate?

If you are using Desktop Wallet, redelegating is just a few clicks in Home > Delegations tab.

In the Defi Wallet App, click on the 3 dots and choose Switch Validator.

If you are using chain-maind:

Please take note that your delegated CRO will be stuck for 28 days in the new validator. You will receive your rewards instantly from the new validator, but will be subjected to the penalties, if any, of both old and new validators. You also cannot unstake the redelegated CRO or redelegate to yet another validator for 28 days.

How to vote on my own?

You can vote on your own by using the Desktop Wallet in the Governance tab.

Why Stake?

By staking, or delegating, your funds, you will be getting interest, or staking rewards. You also participate in securing the network.

Can you steal my funds?

No! Your funds solely belongs to you. This is non-custodial staking and without your private keys or recovery phrase, there is nothing we can do to your funds, except voting on your behalf. Please ensure you keep your recovery phrase safe!! 

What do you mean by voting?

CRO and OSMO are cosmos based chains which have native governance where voting power is decided by amount of staked tokens. X Staking strives to vote in the interest of the community where there are new proposals. With your staked funds, X Staking can vote on your behalf. However, if you are of a differing opinion from us, you may override our vote by voting on your own. Instructions to vote on your own are given below. Do take note that only staked funds can vote. Announcements will be made when proposals are voted upon.

My rewards disappeared.

When you add on to your stake, your rewards are automatically withdrawn into your wallet.
